Today the NHL made it official that T-Mobile Arena is the venue of choice in hosting the NHL Expansion Draft and the Awards Ceremony. The Expansion Draft is scheduled for June 21st that unveil the names selected by the Vegas Golden Knights organization.
According the NHL the event will televised nationally on the NBCSN in the United States and on Sportsnet’s Network for the Canada audience 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT, the 2017 NHL Awards.
Included in the live broadcast the much anticipated NHL Expansion Draft that features the leagues 31st franchise the Vegas Golden Knights. The guests in attendance for the first ever broadcasted NHL Expansion Draft will be Golden Knights Team Owner/Chairman Bill Foley, General Manager George McPhee, and the Head Coach Gerard Gallant.
The roster of players that are picked from the NHL Expansion Draft will begin play this fall for the 2017-2018 season where the league is gearing up to celebrate it’s next 100 years of existence.

The event has priority to those who are already season pass members of the Vegas Golden Knights ticket program. Notifications to those members will be sent out later to those wanting to be part of the special pre-sale window.
Like any other event these tickets will be available on first come/served basis as well as while supplies last. For the general public audiences their ticket window will open on Wednesday, May 3 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT to be apart of the NHL Expansion Draft and Awards festivities.

Vegas is due to host the NHL Awards for the eighth time since the league has put on the event to showcase it top stars. For the event T-Mobile Arena becomes the first time that a sports venue to have the distinct honor in hosting the NHL Awards Ceremony.
Prior locations in Las Vegas that have had the privilege in hosting the NHL Awards Ceremony were Palms Hotel (2009-2011), Encore at Wynn Las Vegas (2012, 2014), MGM Grand (2015) and The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (2016). During the awards week the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas will be the base camp for the NHL.
These events are going to enable the Vegas hockey community to part of another milestone event for the organization.
