Today the Vegas Golden Knights organization has announced that Gillett Construction confirmed that they are going to be topping off the Summerlin Practice Facility this Friday by laying the last beam on the rooftop of the building.
The Golden Knights have scheduled the topping off ceremony for Friday April 21, 2017 at 1:30 P.M..
Their Summerlin Practice Facility will be their headquarters home for all Golden Knights practices throughout the season, training camp, their youth hockey programs for both boys and girls. Public skate, stick time, drop in hockey, and adult hockey leagues. In addition the facility will be open year round to serve the Vegas hockey community.
Starting this fall the Summerlin Practice Facility will serve as the home base for the Vegas Junior Golden Knights and Lady Golden Knights hockey clubs.
In attendance for the milestone ceremony are VIP’s with Golden Knights hockey club will be Murray Craven, General Manager of the Golden Knights practice facility Brad Sholl along with President/CEO of Gillett Construction Darren Gillett.
Back on October 5, 2016 the Vegas Golden Knights broke ground to their practice facility which is located at Pavilion Center Drive and Griffith Peak Drive across from Red Rock Casino and Resort.
Their facility will feature two NHL regulation length sheets of ice with one of those designated for the hockey team to use for their daily practices. The size of their building is rated at 120,000 square feet.
When the facility is fully complete by August 15, 2017 it will look like this.
