After months of hard work along with countless of hours since their initial ground breaking ceremony back on October 5th, 2016 the Gillett Construction team along with the Golden Knights topped off their Summerlin Facility with the last beam that closes out a major chapter in the sites construction.

With the closure of this major chapter in construction operations major VIP’s signed their names on the last beam to be forever part of Golden Knights history.

Below is the video of those special guests who were involved in the whole process with steadfast behind the scenes work.

The Vegas Golden Knights Summerlin Practice Facility is located at 1550 South Pavilion Center Drive across from the Red Rock Casino and Resort adjacent to the Downtown Summerlin shopping center.

The event was highlighted by a series keynote speakers that applauded Gillett Construction crews and the Vegas hockey organization of how far the facility has come in just 6 short months.

As a token of gratitude and appreciation for months of hard work and dedication the construction teams of Gillett Construction, public leaders, team staff members, and members of the media were treated to food and refreshments to celebrate today’s milestone.

Below is the full video that features Murray Craven and Steve Sisolak along with fellow colleague Susan Brager honoring the event in front of a large crowd of Gillett Construction crew members along with staff members of the Golden Knights and local media outlets in the community.

Memorable Quote from Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak:

“I can’t thank the Golden Knights enough,” Sisolak said. “They have changed the landscape of this community and will always be our first major professional team. We stand by ready to do whatever we can to help bring this thing to the finish line.”

For the Vegas Golden Knights being the first ever major professional sports team in the community it really gives the people of Las Vegas something to be extremely proud of, that sense of “Civic Pride” that VGK GM George McPhee echoed months ago was felt here today during the topping off ceremony.

Based on the progression of the facility it is scheduled to be open to the public in mid August weeks before their inaugural training camp for the 2017-2018 season.
