The Golden Knights bolstered their staff this week with the addition of former TSN CFL (Canadian Football League) and Winnipeg Jets Analyst Gary Lawless to the organization. Lawless brings to the organization 18 years of professional sports experience in the Canadian marketplace.
Per the official team presser that was released yesterday Lawless will serve as the team’s lead on-camera reporter, filing daily video recaps from Golden Knights practices, games, events and press conferences
In addition to those duties and responsibility he’ll be making his presence on both Golden Knights radio and team broadcasting teams for all home games at T-Mobile Arena.
Team President Kerry Bubolz echoed to what Lawless brings to the organization in terms of his experience in the sports reporting business.
“Our goal is to provide our fans with exclusive and engaging content across all of our digital platforms,” said Vegas Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. “Gary is a hockey expert, having covered the game extensively in one of the most passionate hockey markets in North America on television, radio, print and web. Together with Dan Marrazza, we will continue to deliver entertaining and compelling stories across our entire network of media assets.” Bubolz added.

Lawless talked about a lot of what the Vegas market is looking forward to when the Golden Knights team hits the ice this fall. The fan experience of the Golden Knights fandom getting to watch professional hockey on a consistent basis is going to be exciting.
He anticipates that once the season gets going that T-Mobile will be the loudest and echoed that it will be the best NHL building around North America.
Lawless compared T-Mobile as the old Chicago Stadium where the Blackhawks used to play out in terms of it being a steep and intimate setting for Vegas Golden Knights fans to be on top of the action during their home games.
He made mentioned that anyone sitting in the highest spot in the house will be to be a part of action. I get where he is coming from because I’ve been to T-Mobile Arena a few times and the vantage points from all areas whether it’s from the lower or higher bowl is amazing which is why VGK fans in for a real treat this coming season.
Lawless also highlighted that the anthem before every home game is going to be something incredible in Vegas.
He’s spot on in that respect given that Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world which means that they’ll have the potential of having Celine Dion, Brittany Spears to Wayne Newton perform the anthem in front of sellout crowds at T-Mobile Arena.
Going forward Lawless’s is excited to get going with the Golden Knights this fall.
