Our friends at Cap Friendly are reporting new details on Vadim Shipachyov‘s new NHL contract for the Vegas Golden Knights. The league rejected the original contract because per Eilliotte Friedman there was NTC wrote into it which Shipachyov does not qualify for.
When Golden Knights General George McPhee was on a conference call with reporters he originally stated to the media that Shipachyov’s contract that he originally signed on Thursday did not have a NTC attached to it.
Per team source his new Vegas Golden Knights contract was re-submitted to the NHL league office on Friday.
Below is the new breakdown on Shipachyov’s updated contract by Cap Friendly.
His original contract was reported at $4.5 million per season without any signing bonus associated with the deal. The new contract that he signed has one in place.
To note the AAV does not change and stays the same from the original deal. Vadim’s 2-year deal with the new changes remains the same at $9 million.
