Today was a big day for newly signed Vegas Golden Knights forward Vadim Shipachyov at the 2017 IIHF World Championship Tournament. Shipachyov signed a 2-year deal with Vegas worth $9 million with the organization this past Thursday.
Shipachyov showcased his playmaking skills in todays matchup against Team Italy and registered 4 power play assists. One of those assists came on Evgeni Dadonov‘s goal in the first period of the game.
Dadonov has been reported to be chased by the Vegas Golden Knights.
With his 4 assist performance today vs. Italy Shipachyov is currently sitting in third place in the points department while fellow linemate Artemi Panarin has five points and Canada’s Tyson Barrie with six of his own.
His team currently has 1-1-0-0 record in the first two games of the tournament. On the schedule Shipachyov is slated to play 5 more games in Group A.
Team Russia will take on Team Germany. Germany recently played against Team USA where they upset them by a 2-1 score. Germany’s record is in 4th place in Group A.
