Today the Vegas Golden Knights organization with owner Bill Foley and AT&T President Patrick Crumb are thrilled to announce that they have reached an agreement that ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain has been chosen to broadcast the hockey team over its network beginning in the 2017-2018 season.
The terms laid out by the partnership with ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain gives the Golden Knights exclusive access rights in the Rocky Mountain region which are the organization’s broadcasting territory. This broadcasting coverage zone has been given to the Golden Knights by the NHL.
Included in this arrangement ROOT Sports will also be airing the Golden Knights preseason games that are scheduled to take place in the month of September and October. For Vegas, they will be playing a total of 7 preseason games before the regular season campaign begins.
For Foley, he echoed his excitement about going into this new partnership with ROOT Sports and AT&T.

The investment by ROOT SPORTS in cutting edge technology and their background televising the sport of hockey will ensure an enjoyable viewing experience during every Golden Knights game.” Foley added.
Currently, for the ROOT Sports family they also provide television broadcasting for several professional sports team across the United States which includes, MLB’s Seattle Mariners, MLS’s Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders F.C., NBA’s Utah Jazz, NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins, MLB’s Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies, NBA’s Houston Rockets, and MLB’s Houston Astros.
With the Golden Knights now added to their lineup of professional sports, Vegas becomes the 10th under the ROOT Sports family.
AT&T President Crumb extended his own gratitude and appreciation for the Golden Knights in selecting ROOT Sports as their broadcasting partner.

Extended coverage thru ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain will also provide the Golden Knights with all access to players as well as all hockey related activities with the organization during the regular season.
