Scouting Report On Hyka

Hyka at 5’11” is considered among the core of forwards to be small, however, an important asset of his game that he brings to the table is his speed. That is something in which he exercises very well.

For opposing team’s blueliners Hyka has a reputation of keeping them on the heels of their skates and provides a dangerous punch in the attacking zone.

He has the ability to score goals and provide a decent shot on offense. His pass first mentality like Shipachyov’s playmaking skill set is where he excels at the most in his game.

In the NHL you need quality playmakers to set up your snipers to put the rubber in the back of the net. As a winger, this is uncommon as they are known to be goal scorers in that position.

According to Hockey’s Future, they have Hyka’s potential grade rate a D and a talent score of 6.5/10.
