Las Vegas–Today the Vegas Golden Knights along with AT&T Sports Network made the announcement that ROOT Sports Rocky Mountain which was initially the TV partner has transitioned into and rebranded the sports entity under AT&T SportsNetwork ahead of the upcoming season.
This announcement comes 2 months from when the Golden Knights and ROOT Sports came to an agreement to be the official TV Broadcasting partner for the franchise.
AT&T Sports Networks Bill Roberts had this to say regarding the rebranding under the new name and what it means going forward to their continued commitment to professional sports.
“We have always brought an authentic and personal level of coverage to all of our teams because as fans, we also know the history and feel the rivalries,” said Roberts, head of content for AT&T Sports Networks.
With the changeover, the AT&T SportsNet signage with showcase the carrier’s signature logo in blue just like you see with the AT&T uVerse and AT&T Wireless Divisions.
Under the new look moving forward, the re-brand will have a better presentation in terms of graphics, enhancing the complement of photography and digital animation to transition away from the old method of standard animation.
Roberts extended the continued commitment in making sure this happens.
“And while we have that same undying commitment to quality, this rebrand will help us heighten the experience as we transform our visual effects capabilities further.” Says Roberts
As their exclusive television broadcasting partner, AT&T SportsNet will air in the Golden Knights region zone, regular-season games both home and away and the big bonus for Knights fans is that if they make to the Stanley Cup Playoffs those games will also be seen on the network.
Golden Knights preseason games are also part of the network’s broadcasting arrangements.
AT&T SportsNet has made the commitment that all Golden Knights games will be telecasted over high definition and provide pregame and postgame segments.
They did make mention of that this subject to live event conflicts.
To go in parallel with the NHL’s broadcasting coverage zone they provided the Golden Knights, their approved distribution territory covers the entire states of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Utah and select areas of Arizona and California.
