Las Vegas–For the 1st team since being signed by General Manager George McPhee, top line center Vadim Shipachyov has finally made it to his new home.

After being signed by Vegas, Shipachyov participated in the recent World Junior Champion tournament where Golden Knights were able to watch the Russian center compete in international competition representing the organization.

Shipachyov spent time today visiting T-Mobile Arena and City National Arena where he will be spending a lot of time throughout the course of the 2017-18 season.

In a few short weeks at the 1st ever training camp in franchise history, Vegas Golden Knights fans will be able to see in person what the Russian center brings to the table for the organization.

Over the course of the 2017 IIHF Worlds, I had the opportunity in providing coverage to Golden Knights fans so that they can get the opportunity to get to know the 1st ever NHL contracted player in franchise history.

I can tell you from what I was witnessed on the television set is that Golden Knights fans are in for a real treat when he skates on Vegas ice for the 1st time in his professional playing career.

He finished the tournament 3rd in the scoring department for Team Russia with 13 points (2 goals and 11 assists). This was 5 points short of a World Championship record he set back in 2016 where he completed that tournament with 18 points (6 goals and 12 assists).

His potential linemates with the Golden Knights could be veteran winger James Neal,  David Perron, or maybe even Jonathan Marchessault if that’s how Head Coach Gerard Gallant rolls the dice during training camp and preseason action.
