Summerlin–Tonight, the UNLV Rebel Hockey team held their scrimmage game in front of hometown fans at “City National Arena”.

And what better way to beat the end of summer heat than with some hometown hockey action.

The “Skatin’ Rebels” made their comeback tonight in the brand new state of the art home “City National Arena” in stunning Downtown Summerlin in front of a crowd of Rebel fans.

Province and Kaszupski of Team Red started the first period off strong by scoring two goals.

The gray team showed no mercy and scored two goals in the games second period.

The game ended in favor of Team Grey with a score of six to three.

Defenseman Bas Assaf says he is really excited for the new experiences this season in the new arena. He also mentioned that the team has a really good group of guys with a lot of potential.

This game showcased the teams’ skills and was a nice preview of what to expect in the upcoming season.

The first home game is September 22nd at 7:30 against Colorado.
