For Wong and Hyka, it was well worth the wait for both of them to score their 1st’s with the Chicago Wolves organization.
Back in the preseason, Hyka was the Golden Knights leading scoring with 4 while Wong recorded the 1st ever goal and hat trick in preseason history with the organization.
With Wong, he had some hockey bloodlines that helped set up his 1st with the Wolves as Stefan Matteau teamed with Beau Bennett and the brought the score to 3-4 Texas lead.
The young Matteau is the son of former NHLer and 1994 Stanley Cup Champion Stéphane Matteau.
