Summerlin-Rebel fans, eager for another win, packed the stands tonight to watch the Skatin’ Rebels battle it out against #1 Minot State.

Not even a minute into the first period, things got real pretty quick as a small fight broke out. An aggressive first period showed that UNLV was ready to beat the #1 team. Both teams played defense really well and did a good job of keeping the other team out of the goal.

Going into the second period, the action only intensified. Both teams got a lot more physical and the Rebels had multiple shots on goal. Goal by Forward Kaszupski. Both teams pushed the limit with continuous roughing and tripping throughout the period.

The energy had increased in the third period, with the score being tied 1-1. A goal made by Forward Mayer put the Rebels in the lead. The game ended in a nail biter as Minot State pulled their goalie and both teams went back and forth fighting for a goal. The Rebels fought harder and won the game 2-1.

It was hard to differentiate who stood out from both teams because both teams relied heavily on each other to make the game work out in their favor.
