Around the National Hockey League, “Hockey Fights Cancer” is a league-wide program/initiative that unites the hockey community in support of cancer patients and their families.

Each season, every NHL team hosts a “Hockey Fights Cancer Night” benefitting various organizations and support initiatives.

This year, the Golden Knights players will be wearing special “Hockey Fights Cancer” lavender sweaters during pregame warmups.

During the contest against the Dallas Stars game on November 28, those special “Hockey Fight Cancer” sweaters will be auctioned that night.

The proceeds from the special “Hockey Fights Cancer” sweaters along with the money that is raised from the 51/49 raffle, will benefit the health and wellness pillar of the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation with a portion going to the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation.

Before the game, current pediatric cancer patients and survivors from the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation will take the ice to line up with Golden Knights players during the national anthem.

Later this week, select Golden Knights players will visit children at the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation from 1-2 p.m. this Saturday, November 18 (3711 E. Sunset Rd., Las Vegas NV 89120) as part of the team “Hockey Fights Cancer” initiative.
