Las Vegas–After their 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday, I had the opportunity to catch up with Vegas Golden Knights centerman William Karlsson on his thoughts on his offensive production, the chemistry with his teammates, playing against a divisional powerhouse, and playing at home at T-Mobile Arena.

Currently, Karlsson is in second place behind team leader James Neal in goals this season with 9. Last nights game vs the LA Kings, was Karlsson’s second multi-goal game this season. He registered his 1st multi-goal games against the Winnipeg Jets in their 5-2 win.

Karlsson talked about the run he’s been on for the Golden Knights in terms of scoring goals.

“Little puck luck, bounces going my way, it’s been fun to score, playing with the guys I do helped me a lot and help me score.” Karlsson said.

In any team’s success, chemistry is an important part of the game and for Karlsson being a member of the team’s top 6.

“For sure I think we clicked kind of right from the start when we go put together, it’s two players that are fast and skilled and they think hockey like I do so it’s very easy to play with them, definitely a lot of fun.” Karlsson replied.

Yesterday’s matchup vs. the Los Angeles Kings was the first many meetings for the Golden Knights and the feel had more of playoff type atmosphere that a typical regular season matchup.

“I mean it was a division game, lot of Kings fans in the stands so definitely a fun game to play, the atmosphere was really good, it was one of the more fun for sure.” Karlsson on playing the Kings yesterday.

For the Golden Knights, their home record this season has been impressive, 8-1-0 at T-Mobile Arena and Karlsson talked about playing in front of fans.

“It feels like every game there’s this electric atmosphere, the fans just keep pushing each other, just having a lot of fun, try to keep them happy and try to win games.” Karlsson said.

After today’s practice, I had the chance to ask Head Coach Gerard Gallant on what has impressed him the most on Karlsson’s play as of late. Below is the segment of the his post practice presser.
