Las Vegas–Today after the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 shootout loss to Carolina Hurricanes last night, General Manager George McPhee made a waiver claim and grabbed forward Ryan Carpenter from the San Jose Sharks.

Currently this season he played in 16 games with the San Jose Sharks where he recorded 1 assist. Carpenter brings with him to the Golden Knights, 28 games of NHL experience in which he scored 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points.

His professional career success was at the AHL level the San Jose Barracuda, 206 total  games that includes his time with the former Worcester Sharks organization (44 goals, 86 assists for 130 points).

Carpenter was an undrafted player when he came into the league. He even comes from the same Alma matar as GMGM, Bowling Green State University.
