Las Vegas–Today the National Hockey League announced their 3 “Stars of The Week” and Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson made the list as the second star for his top notch contribution on the ice as a late.

For Karlsson, this has been a career year for the 24-year-old center that originally hailed from Märsta, Sweden.

In the last three contests for the Golden Knights, Karlsson recorded 4 goals, 1 assist for 5 points that played a key role in the teams 11-0-1 record over the span of 12 games in the month of December that extended the club’s point streak over that period.

Karlsson’s contributions during that run, enabled the Golden Knights to make history in the league as the club to notch a seven game winning streak and secure points 12 contests in that span which is the longest by a 1st year NHL franchise in an inaugural season.

He scored in the 4-1 win over the Anaheim Ducks back on December 27 but was kept from registering a point during the LA Kings game the following day, December 28.

The memorable first for Karlsson came last night when he recorded the first hat trick in franchise history and in his NHL playing against the Toronto Maple Leafs where the Golden Knights defeated the original six hockey team by a 6-3 final.

This season with the Golden Knights, Karlsson currently has 20 goals thru 37 games so far and has registered 13 assists for 33 points. Before he came over to Vegas via the draft this past summer, Karlsson between his time with the Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Blue Jackets produced 18 goals, 32 assists for 50 points.

As a member of the Golden Knights he currently ranks 6th overall in the league in goals scored.

The Golden Knights sit very comfortably with a  26-9-2 record at 54 points and are the leaders in the Pacific Division ahead of the Los Angeles Kings, the Western Conference ahead of the Winnipeg Jets, and 2nd overall in the league behind the Tampa Bay Lightning.
