Las Vegas–Tonight was a Knight for VegasBorn fans to remember as the Golden Knights organization held their first ever Fan Fest in front of a crowd of 10,000 at The D Las Vegas.

Since the season started, Golden Knights faithful have been coming to the games at “The Fortress”, T-Mobile Arena and have bared witness to many special moments that includes the very inspiration key note “We Are VegasStrong”speech by Deryk Engelland, Oscar Dansk‘s recording the first franchise shutout, beating the back-2-back Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, Shea Theodore‘s buzzer goal against Tampa Bay, to William Karlsson‘s hat trick.

Tonight marked another monumental moment that will be forever etched in the history books for the Golden Knights, the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, and the fans of the team to be part of the first among many Fan Fest’s they will get to see in their lives.

The last time The D Las Vegas and the Golden Knights had a major event in front of their fans and the community of the city was when the two organizations embarked on their 6-year partnership in support of the youth hockey program less than a year ago.

It was only fitting to have Team President Kerry Bubolz out on stage to bring this collaboration full circle with addressing the VegasBorn faithful.

“They are terrific partners, not only has Derek helped us with this event and launching this great brand but he also donated $100,000 to help us build youth hockey in Las Vegas and were going to build something great here so Derek was an important part.” Bubolz said.

Bubolz presented Derek Stevens with a Golden Knights sweater with his name and the number 17 on the back to honor the partnership between the two organizations.

“So Derek on behalf of the organization to Bill Foley our Owner, George McPhee our General Manager we couldn’t be more proud to be associated with The D and with you, and Nicole, and your entire group you guys are spectacular.” Says Bubolz.

Also during the first ever Fan Fest in franchise history for the Golden Knights, their mascot “Chance The Gila Monster” made his epic entrance down Fremont Street along the “SlotZilla Zip Line” to say hello the VegasBorn crowd below.

The television broadcast team of Dave Goucher and Shane Hnidy also were on hand today and had the crowd fired up with a tease of a potential Stanley Cup parade this upcoming summer if that happens for the current Western Conference leading Golden Knights who are 29-10-3 with 61 points.

“What do guys think of a Stanley Cup parade in Vegas, down Fremont Street, down Las Vegas Boulevard, middle of June what do you think, 95 degrees are you guys free, are you available to show up for that if it happens.” Goucher said with a tease.

Currently the Golden Knights odds to win the Stanley Cup are 7/1 by odds makers around town.

“It’s great to see so many fans out there, this is so impressive our team has become embedded in Las Vegas and the team feeds off of all of you just as the town feeds off of the team and I’m so proud of the team, so proud of Las Vegas for supporting this great franchise, were only starting out and we got a long ways to go, Go Knights Go.”  Foley echoed.
