Las Vegas–Today the Vegas Golden Knights along with Team President Kerry Bubolz have announced that the organization will participate in the “Hockey Is For Everyone” program during the month of February.

Dawson who is currently 7-years of age has a 3-D printed robotic hand that gives her the ability to grab, throw, and grasp a baseball. She has had the pleasure of throwing the first pitch at different baseball parks around the MLB from the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals to even having the pleasure during Game 4 of last years World Series matchup that featured the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros.
With Dawson getting the opportunity to be part of the pre-game ceremonies at T-Mobile Arena on 11th, UNLV has made custom hand that will allow her to drop the puck at center ice.
4 days later on February 15, the Golden Knights will play hosts to the Edmonton Oilers for the second time this season. On that night, members of the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada chapter also known as “The Center” will get the chance to see a special Public Service Announcement that features Vegas’s Bellemare at “The Fortress”. This game has a 7:00 pm PT start time.
To go along with that special night for the Golden Knights they will have on hand Pride t-shirts that are available for purchase. The money from the Vegas Golden Knights 51/49 will go towards charity to “The Center.”
When the Golden Knights host the Calgary Flames for the first time on February 21 this season, Clients of Opportunity Village will have the chance to stand with the players in the bench area while the Canadian and American National Anthem’s are being played prior to the game. This contest has a 7:30 pm PT start time.
Those clients will have the opportunity to come out and watch practice on February 17 at “City National Arena” and will be able to skate on the ice once the session is over.
Golden Knights players prior to the start of their matchup against the Flames on the 21st will have special rainbow colored stick tape wrapped around their sticks during the pre-game warmup session. Those sticks will then be auctioned off with the proceeds going to the “You Can Play Project” an organization that fully supports LGBTQ athletes.
