Summerlin– The Skatin Rebels play for another sold-out crowd at City National Arena, as they take on ASU again.

The Rebels had multiple shots on goal as the first period progressed, but they fell short as the Sun Devils scored their first point in the first two minutes. Forward Tristan Mayer scored the Rebels first point and forward Joe Kaszupski quickly followed, scoring another.

It’s anybody’s game going into the second period as the score is tied 2 all. It was a close fought period as forward Cody Williams scores for the Rebels.

The Sun Devils quickly picked up on the Rebels momentum in the third period and got two goals in, putting the Rebels behind 4-3. The Skatin Rebels were not backing down without a fight. Forward Elijah Barriga and Center Jake Saxe both scored for the Rebels and put them back in the lead! With 2 minutes left, ASU pulled their goalie, making the game 6 on 4, for the extra attacker. On an open goal, forward Zach Lawson scores the Rebels’ 6th goal of the game.

The Skatin Rebels defeat the ASU Sun Devils, 6-4!

Coach Anthony Greener was so proud of the work the team put in this weekend!

“They were really working off the momentum of being on the road the last three months and it really showed on the ice. They knew what they were up against but it didn’t stop them.”

As we move closer to the national tournament, Greener said the team just needs to stay disciplined. Nothing comes easy. If they put in the work, they will see results.

Catch your Skatin Rebels at T-Mobile Arena on Friday, February 16th as they take on Midland University.
