Las Vegas–Today Seattle hockey fans received the great news that the Oak View Group ticket drive is set for March 1st at 10am.
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durken broke the news to members of local community and members of the media in the Emerald City in a joint release with Oak View Group Executive David Bonderman and Hollywood Mogul Jerry Bruckheimer.
“It will include a new modern arena, and as I said that day that path is the best path to bringing an NHL team to Seattle ,” said Mayor Durkan during her press conference remarks to.
“And yes, to bringing back our Sonics.“ She continued.
In addition to her remarks, Mayor Durkan prompted those who are interested in grabbing up tickets for the NHL Seattle franchise.
“Mark it on your calendars, starting 10 am on March 1 you can make your deposits for season tickets,” Durken added. “So lets meet where the puck drops.”
This process is all just too familiar to Golden Knights fans as they went thru the same process thru a website that no longer exists called “VegasWantsHockey.com“.
For the then no name hockey franchise, the ownership group kicked started a team called the “Founding 75”. This group was charged with the efforts to get Las Vegas locals to buy into placing deposits on a team that did not even exist back in 2015.
The no name Vegas hockey club had the following purchasing options for local’s to buy into that started out at $150, $300, $500 and all the way up to $900 US. They also included membership plans from 1 year to 10 years (3 and 5 year plans were in the middle).
Deposits are $500 per ticket for a full season pass and $1,000 for club level tickets for the entire season. This means that once fans drop those dollar bills on their respective packages they will be granted a priority hotline in which they can request where they would like to sit at inside the newly renovated Key Arena.
Fans can place their season tickets deposits for either lower or upper level of the arena and their pass is good to attend all 41 home games. Also a bit of good news much like what current NHL teams do with their fans, preseason, as well as Stanley Cup Playoffs priority is included with their plan.
An added bonus to those that purchase the club level package, will get the following perks with their plan, special private club access that similar to what Golden Knights fans have with the Patron Lounge at T-Mobile Arena, preferred parking, and special exclusive events by the franchise (i.e. VIP functions).
They will receive first crack at potentially putting money down on an NBA expansion should the league pursue a return to the Emerald City some day.
Seattle hockey fans looking to make these deposits can use their credit cards for the purchase.
Hockey fans in general will want to make the trip up to beautiful Seattle to see their favorite team take on the newest member of the National Hockey League down the road.
For Golden Knights fans there is a little blurb in this video that features the first ever game winning goal in club history by James Neal when Vegas defeated the Dallas Stars back on October 6 that featured a 2-1 final.
The next great moment in Seattle sports history is right around the corner.
