Skatin’ Rebels Win Against Arizona Wildcats
Summerlin– After last weekend’s loss to Midland, Skatin Rebel fans packed the stands of City National Arena as the team went to battle against the University of Arizona Wildcats.
Both teams aggressively took to the ice, eager for a win. On the first power play of the night for the Rebels, Chase Torontow was able to score, which tied the game. Although the Wildcats scored again and were in the lead, Joe Kaszupski scored and tied the game, 2-2, at the end of the first.
In the second period, the Rebels had a hard time scoring, despite multiple opportunities. The Wildcats scored again, putting them ahead by one.
Shortly after the start of the third, Kaszupski scored his second goal of the night, tying the game 3 all. The Wildcats were on a power play as Trevor Ruiz got a penalty for interference. Tristan Mayer snuck past the Wildcats and put the Rebels in the lead again. As the game winded down, Zach Lawson scored his sixth goal of the season. The Skatin Rebels come out victorious in a 5 to 3 win!
