Las Vegas–The Vegas Golden Knights continue towards the future with another signing in forward Lucas Elvenes as they have signed him to a 3-year entry level contract.

Last year before the start of the Golden Knights inaugural season, Elvenes participated in the franchises first ever development camp back in June at the “Las Vegas Ice Center”

The club’s first annual development camp featured notable attendees from the 2017 NHL Draft Class that included Cody Glass, Nick Suzuki, Erik Brannstrom, Nic Hague, Jake Leschyshyn, Ben Jones, Jiri Patera, and Maksim Zhukov.

All those players including Elvenes had the opportunity in putting a good first impression with General Manager George McPhee, Kelly McCrimmon, Wil Nichol, and staff.

Elvenes also had the chance to show both Golden Knights Head Coach Gerard Gallant and Chicago Wolves bench boss Rocky Thompson what he could do in terms of where he was at in his hockey development.

This past season, Elvenes played for Rögle BK of Swedish Hockey League. In 28 games with Rögle BK, the Ängelholm, Sweden native scored 5 goals, registered 11 assists for 16 points.

He was selected in the 5th round at 127th overall by McPhee at the 2017 NHL Draft in Chicago.
