Las Vegas–After not participating in the opening round of the 2018 NHL Draft in Dallas, the Vegas Golden Knights made their first pick today in round 2 today.

With the Golden Knights picking at 61st overall in this years draft, they picked up Russian Center Ivan Morozov.

Morozov spent last season in the Molodyozhnaya Hokkeinaya Liga with Mamonty Yugry. In 30 games played Morozov scored 11 goals, recorded 12 assists for 23 points. He also played in 1 game with KHL’s Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk club.

This upcoming season Morozov is scheduled to play for SKA-1946 St. Petersburg in the MHL.
