Summerlin–The Vegas Golden Knights might not start their pre season for a few more weeks, but the UNLV Skatin’ Rebels have brought hockey back to Vegas to hold us over. Tonight, the Rebels held their Scarlett and Grey scrimmage at City National Arena.

Throughout the first period, both sides put up a goal and showed some really great potential and what we can expect to see this upcoming season.

In the second period, things started heating up as the Scarlett team scored two goals in under a minute.

At the end of the game, both teams fought hard but the Grey team came out victorious with a final score of 5-3.

Coach Anthony Vigneri-Greener is feeling very confident about the group of guys he has going into this season. He has seen a lot of great potential in this years’ recruiting class. “I look for guys that have a lot of speed and great character, who’s good on and off the ice. We have a good system that is really working. I truly believe the sky is the limit with this team.” Greener mentioned that all the returning players have really improved over the summer and in the past week during development camp.

Catch the Skatin Rebels in their home opener against Colorado on Friday September 14 at 7:30 pm at City National Arena.
